Dangote won this position for the eighth time back to back to retain the title of Africa’s richest man.
Although his previous net worth of $12 billion came down to $10billion thereby bringing close the Globacom chairman, Mike Adenuga with current net worth of $9.2bn as his closest rival.

Aliko Dangote saw his wealth reduced by $2bn from his previous $12.2bn to $10bn in 2019 while Mike Adenuga’s net worth nearly doubled from $5.3bn to $9.2bn in 2019.
The Founder and Executive Chairman, Famfa Oil Limited, Mrs Folorunsho Alakija, ranked 19th as her net worth came down to $1.1bn from her previous $1.3bn.
